Always a Mocker
Hometown: Chicago, IL
I bought my first Vespa when I was 17 years old, having been bitten by the MOD bug. With friends I ran the Allez Cats Scooter Club from 1988 – 1993, planning rallies all over the Midwest. I used to ride my Vespa to rockabilly events in full rockabilly attire (hence the Mocker). I am the “Role Model” of the League of International Party Girls, a social club with a drinking problem. As the Role Model I travel to various car shows and rockabilly events teaching jive and stroll. I also own my own vintage company The Crazy Dish Lady.
I grew up in Vienna, Austria and my favorite movie star was Elvis. All I wanted was to dress and dance like the people in the movies. I moved to America, discovered Hi-Fi and the Roadburners and never looked back. I like to mix up my style, ever a Mocker.
My favorite thing to do is to attend estate sales and “rescue” everything from clothes to vinyl. I will travel anyway I can to anyplace that piques my interest. Dancing and music are as necessary as air to me.
Live with no regrets. Life is short. Don’t watch it go by. Be fearless, treasure your friends, travel (anyway you can), laugh and love unconditionally.
